Saturday, March 3rd - March 11th Two California artists will exhibit work at St. James by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla Library/Gallery. Created during their time as the 2017 Artists-in-Residence for the Marjorie and Joseph Rubenson Family Endowment for Art and Science at Volcan Mountain.
Saturday, February 10th the Julian Dark Sky Network (JSDN) will give a presentation at the Julian Library at 1pm about how we can help make sure that we will always have "starry, starry nights". In order to do that we must learn how to protect our night skies from light pollution.

Friday, February 16th, 17th & 24th the Ilan-Lael Foundation, located in nearby Wynola, will begin hosting its Surfboard Mosaic Workshop. This will be the first of a series of art workshops that will be held throughout the year.
Join glass artist and sculptress Cherrie LaPorte in a two-day art class at Ilan-Lael with a third-day at Cherrie's studio in Escondido. You’ll make glass mosaics on two surfboards each designed by James Hubbell and executed in Cherrie’s signature mediums of recycled fused, blown, and stained glass.
