There are just a couple weeks now until the 23rd Annual Volcan Mountain Foundation (VMF) Dinner Dance & Auction. Though reservations are still available, they're filling up quickly!
To get wildlife monitoring started on Volcan Mountain Foundation's Nature Center and Sky Island properties six remote trail cameras were placed along trails and in different habitat areas like the riparian zone of the lower Nature Center property.
Images captured so far have been of bobcat, mountain lion, fox, coyote, deer, turkey, racoon, opposum and chipmunk.
San Diego County Parks & Recreation has announced their hikes and events for the Volcan Mountain & Santa Ysabel backcountry preserves for March-June 2014.
